Vo Trong Nghia: Architecture is a response to the qualities and characteristics of natural materials.
The architectural design of Vo Trong Bghia use tradition materials in a very natural way, which keeps the original looking of the material. His design response to the climate in site, such as usingg materials like bamboo in tropical area. The way he construct the building show his deep understanding of natural material. The material of my design inspired by this approach.
Carlo Scarpa: Complexity meets simplicity
Architecture of Carlo Scarpa have contrast between complexity and simplicity. He combine
detail crafting with geometric element to create harmony. His architecture is simple in appearance, but complex detail. The shape of my design is inspired by an element in his design (site view). Also, the platform of my design is relatively simple, compare to the structure of shelter, which is also inspire by this design approach.
